For automakers, government support serves as a kind of buffer that helps curb the rise in car prices in Russia. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Denis Manturov.
Manufacturers, having government support, they actually provide that buffer to prevent sharp price increases.
Earlier, Manturov stated that car prices in Russia are not decreasing due to inflation, but they may become more stable.
The head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, does not rule out an increase in prices for Lada cars in 2025. According to him, this may be due to an increase in the key rate and a weakening of the ruble.
Since the beginning of this year, the cost of Lada cars has increased by 4.3%. In August 2024, AvtoVAZ revised prices for the Granta and Niva models, increasing them by 1.4%.
