KMZ has developed a winch for lowering and lifting vessels

The winch frame is made of high-strength low-alloy steel

Engineers of SCB-2 (part of the KMZ holding) have developed a slipway winch designed for lifting and lowering vessels on rail trolleys. It consists of a friction winch and a storage winch with a rope laying device. This was reported by the holding's press service.

Winch design
The frame of the friction winch is made of high-strength low-alloy steel and can withstand loads up to 80 tons. The rope laying device is equipped with an individual drive and automatic speed control for laying the rope on the storage winch drum.
