MTS has launched an eSIM sales service for travelers with a prepaid internet package from local operators in more than 200 countries and regions around the world.
The new service is designed for smartphones and tablets with eSIM support. Purchases are made through "MTS Payment" using a card from any Russian bank via the FPS, and activation is done using a QR code sent to the email address. The Internet automatically starts working upon arrival in another country, providing instant access to applications and services.
Vice President and Head of the "Payments and Transfers" cluster of MTS, Kirill Palchun, noted that the development of the service is aimed at simplifying the use of the Internet when traveling abroad. Prices are affordable: for example, 1 GB of traffic in Turkey costs 100 rubles, and a package of 20 GB will cost 1200 rubles. This saves travelers from having to look for local operator offices and understand their tariffs. The service is available to subscribers of any telecom operator, which makes it a universal solution for traveling abroad.
