Epic footage of the launch of the promising Russian intermediate-range ballistic missile "Oreshnik" into its boost phase has been published online.
Judging by the footage, the video was taken from the territory of Kazakhstan. The video captures the moment of separation of one of the stages. The maximum flight speed of the missile can reach 18,000 km/h.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots noted that the "Oreshnik" is launched into the sky by a mobile ground complex. The missile uses technologies from the RS-24 "Yars" ICBM. The complex is a further development of the RS-26 "Rubezh".
Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that the military had already used the "Oreshnik" in a non-nuclear hypersonic configuration. According to him, the missiles attack targets at a speed of 2-3 km per second, about Mach 10.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that mass production of net-laying drones has been mastered in Russia, and field tests have already begun.
