Russian military personnel have found a way to combat the enemy's latest drones. Electronic warfare systems are not capable of affecting them, but radars and optoelectronic stations can detect them, and then the Pantsir air defense missile system and anti-aircraft artillery can destroy them.
We are talking about drones equipped with the latest Skynode control system from the American company Auterion.
Due to the possibilities of autonomous operation, it is impossible to interfere with such a drone - it does not depend on communication with the operator. It is also more difficult to detect them; traditional drone detectors react to electromagnetic radiation from the drone, which is practically absent during autonomous operation.
Radars designed to detect low-flying small objects and optoelectronic detection stations will be able to find such a UAV. Then artillery and missile air defense systems, as well as machine guns and shotguns, will come into play.
Earlier www1.ru reported that mass production of net-laying drones has been mastered in Russia, and field tests have already begun.
