Yandex has presented a wide range of devices that will make lighting smart in any space. Now, Yandex's smart lighting category includes thirteen new devices, allowing users to set up smart lighting from scratch and gain more control over their smart home with Alice.
New smart bulbs and updated versions of previously released models are now available, operating on the Matter over Wi-Fi protocol. Yandex has also introduced a relay with the Zigbee protocol and smart switches for the first time. Devices using these protocols will work in smart home scenarios even without an internet connection.
Smart Bulbs on Matter over Wi-Fi
A smart bulb is the device that begins the journey into a smart home. Yandex's model range previously consisted of four devices, all of which have been redesigned.
Three more models have been added to the updated bulbs: an RGB bulb with a GX53 base for suspended ceilings, a filament E27 bulb with cool and warm white light for designer lamps and open chandeliers, and an updated version of the high-brightness RGB E27 bulb for large spaces with a single light source. All of them operate on the Matter protocol.
In April, Yandex was the first company in Russia to release devices supporting this standard: a smart socket and a smart LED strip.
Matter allows smart devices to work within a Wi-Fi network, even if the network is down or the internet is not paid for. By connecting via Matter, you can now add several new bulbs to your smart home at once - this is the most popular request from users who are assembling a series of ceiling lamps or an entire chandelier.
Wireless Smart Switch for Voice and More
Wireless smart switches allow you to control smart devices, including lights, when it is inconvenient to do so by voice: for example, when you need to give a command from the hallway and the Station is in the living room, or when someone is sleeping in the room. They can be installed anywhere without being tied to the power grid and are available with one or two buttons.
Switches can also act as a smart button with broad functionality: up to six different scenarios can be assigned to one button using different press options, and up to twelve to two buttons.
Different combinations can help you control devices quickly and quietly: turn off all electrical appliances when leaving the house and then start the robot vacuum cleaner, or turn off the smart lights throughout the apartment when preparing for bed.
Smart Relay to Turn Any Light into Smart Light
Yandex has released its own smart relay for those who have already integrated their switches into the interior. There is no need to change the appearance of the interior or the wiring for installation; the relay is suitable for round junction boxes and is installed directly behind the switch. It can be connected with or without a neutral wire.
All smart home functions are available with the device: scheduled operation, voice and app control, and integration into scenarios. For example, the light in the bathroom will turn on when the door is opened, which is detected by a motion sensor. And the exhaust fan will turn on when the humidity or temperature rises, which is detected by a climate sensor.
Wired Smart Switch for Various Purposes
This device combines the capabilities of a smart switch and a smart relay. Wired switches are also suitable for all round junction boxes. They are available in two versions: with one button and two.
In basic mode, the wired switch controls the device that is connected to it - for example, an exhaust fan or light.
