Caution, Mines: The "Minskan" System Will Revolutionize the World of Demining Territories

Private company "Complit Technic" tested the "Minskan" mine detection system

Specialists from the Engineering Center "Automation and Robotics" of Bauman Moscow State Technical University and employees of the private engineering and demining company "Complit Technic" conducted experimental tests of the humanitarian demining system "Minskan". This was announced by the company's Executive Director Alexey Malyshev.

According to him, the tested technology is of particular interest for humanitarian demining purposes. The "Minskan" ground-penetrating radar allows to recognize mines that are installed at various depths in the ground.

The goal of the "Minskan" development is to create a system capable of mapping minefields and detecting explosive objects. The promising UAV consists of several components.

The system includes a copter-type drone with a terrain scanning device and an operator console equipped with special software. Together, they survey a given area and look for dangerous objects.
