The Russian Helicopters holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) showcased the Ka-32A11VS multipurpose helicopter in a firefighting configuration at the Airshow China 2024 international air show in Zhuhai, the corporation's press service reported.
The helicopter is used for extinguishing fires, and in various configurations, it can be used for search and rescue operations, medical evacuation, and oil spill response.
Chinese airlines operate Ka-32A11VS helicopters. In total, several dozen Ka-32A11VS helicopters are operating in China.
About the Firefighting Version of the Ka-32A11VS
The Ka-32A11VS is distinguished by its maneuverability, ease of operation, and maintenance. It is equipped with water discharge devices with a capacity of 5 tons and a fire extinguishing system. Thanks to the water cannon, firefighters can extinguish fires in multi-story buildings.
