Footage of a spectacular episode of a low-altitude, low-speed turn of the Russian Su-57 multirole fighter at the Airshow China air show in Zhuhai, China, has gone viral on the Web. The pilot was test pilot Sergei Bogdan.
The fighter performed a turn with a radius of no more than 350 m at an altitude of about 60 m at a speed of 240-270 km/h. The maneuver was ensured by the high bearing qualities of the airframe at a stall speed of 120 - 140 km/h and an aerodynamic quality coefficient of 13.8.
Thanks to this, the fighter made a turn with minimal radii and speeds without loss of control, which is also facilitated by the presence of a thrust vectoring system. This ensures that the combat vehicle reaches extreme angles of attack.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the frigate Admiral Golovko with Zircons practiced combat operations in the English Channel.
