Ruselectronics will develop a supercomputer for the Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences to conduct experimental, design, technological, and research work. This was reported by the company's press service.
The creation of the new high-performance cluster will draw on the experience of developing previous generations of supercomputers at NICEVT – Angara-K1, Desmos, and Fisher, including the use of immersion cooling technology. It will differ from its predecessors in higher peak performance and the maximum possible use of domestic components.
The device will be based on the Angara communication network, manufactured by NICEVT. Angara is the first Russian interconnect for creating high-performance supercomputers.
The developers plan to increase the power of the new computer. This will make research more accurate, increase its pace and efficiency.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that quantum computers with 50 qubits will be presented in Russia in 2025.
