Maxim Kadakov, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Za Rulem", revealed an interesting detail about the new LADA Aura sedan, which was not announced by AvtoVAZ. The question concerns plastic covers on the front and rear wheel arches, and their purpose may not be obvious.
As it turned out, these covers were installed to pass the car certification. According to current regulations, the wheels should not protrude beyond the body, and in the case of LADA Aura, this requirement was violated due to the use of new wheels. To meet the standards, AvtoVAZ used plastic covers, thereby expanding the dimensions of the car and ensuring its compliance with regulatory requirements.
