The LADA Iskra SW Cross station wagon was spotted on the streets of Togliatti with almost no camouflage, which became a noticeable step towards its upcoming debut. The car, painted in white, was driving along one of the city streets, with a small film remaining only on the front and rear parts.
LADA Iskra SW Cross is part of a new line of cars that should replace the Granta model on the Russian market. This line will include a sedan, a station wagon and an all-terrain station wagon in the Cross version. The base version will be a 90-horsepower 1.6-liter engine, which will work in combination with a 5-speed manual gearbox. There is also a version planned with a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 106 hp, equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. In addition, the Lada Iskra will be offered with a CVT.
Earlier, Dmitry Kostromin, Vice President for Sales and Marketing of AvtoVAZ, said that the LADA Iskra project is actively developing. He mentioned plans to create a sports version of the new model. Sales of new cars are expected to begin next year, which is generating interest among car enthusiasts.
