KSRC: Concept Design of the Newest Aircraft Carrier for the Russian Navy Developed

Another concept design for the newest aircraft carrier for the Russian Navy has been developed. This was announced by the General Director of the Krylov State Research Center (KSRC), Oleg Savchenko.

Moreover, two years ago, we completed the conceptual design of such a ship. It's called MAC — a maritime aircraft-carrying complex.

Savchenko added that the issue of building aircraft carriers for the Navy is under constant scientific supervision by the Krylov Center.

Currently, Russia has only one aircraft carrier — the Soviet-built "Admiral Kuznetsov," which is undergoing repairs. In the Russian classification, this ship is formally called a heavy aircraft-carrying missile cruiser.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec delivered a new batch of armored BMD-4M and BMP-3 vehicles with "Nakidka" protection kits to the troops. The additional protection includes products for enhancing armor and slat screens.
