A group of corvettes built at the USC shipyard is participating in large-scale exercises

The corvettes "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov," "Rezkiy," and "Gromkiy," built at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant, have set out to sea to carry out assigned tasks in the Asia-Pacific region. This was reported by the USC press service.

Pacific Fleet ships during exercises

The exercises are taking place in Peter the Great Bay. According to the corporation's press service, one of the corvettes received a Ka-27 helicopter from the Pacific Fleet's naval aviation onboard.

It is expected that the corvette crew will search for and destroy submarines of a mock enemy in the Asia-Pacific region. The sailors will also practice training tasks in air defense and anti-sabotage defense.

Features of corvettes built according to Project 20380 by USC Design Bureau "Almaz"

The "Steregushchiy"-class corvettes are a series of multi-purpose 2nd rank corvettes with guided missile weapons for close and long-range maritime zones. The ships were developed by order of the Russian Navy and for export. The corvettes are armed with anti-ship missiles "Uran," "Onyx," "Kalibr," "Zircon." As of the end of December 2023, 10 ships of Project 20380 have been built.
