Авторынок Белоруссии вырос вдвое: более 80% машин выпускают внутри страны или в России

Only 17.3% were imported from outside the Eurasian Economic Union

In September 2024, 4,320 new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in Belarus. This is 2.1 times more than last year, according to the Belarusian Automobile Association.

In total, 44.3% of passenger cars sold by dealers were produced in Belarus, 38.4% in Russia, and the remaining 17.3% were imported from countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union. At the same time, more than a third of sales (33.45%) were accounted for by non-Chinese brands. The BAA also noted a significant increase in the share of "green cars" in the market: over the year, the share of electric vehicles and hybrid cars in total sales increased from 2.23% to 7.93%.

In the first three quarters of this year, 34,307 new cars were sold in the republic, which is 2.5 times more than in the same period last year. The plan for this year is to reach 48 thousand cars sold.

Earlier, the Lada dealership in Belarus held a large-scale promotion for the sale of cars at reduced prices. In the neighboring country, the cost of Russian cars is already lower than in Russia, and after the introduction of the program, they became more affordable.
