The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has for the first time demonstrated footage of the combat use of the subsonic multi-purpose tactical missile Kh-39 LMUR as part of the weapons control system of the modernized Mi-28NM "Night Hunter" reconnaissance and attack helicopter.
The power of the LMUR warhead (warhead) allows it to hit firing points, armored vehicles, artillery systems and air defense systems. The guided flight range of the Kh-39 LMUR missile is 14.5 km, it is equipped with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead weighing 25 kg. The speed of the ammunition is up to 230 m/s.
The functioning of the video image transmission channel from the mid-wave IR sensor of the optoelectronic seeker to the multi-functional indicator of the navigator-operator is noteworthy.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Su-57 fighter could accidentally shoot down the S-70 Okhotnik UAV. The likely cause of the emergency could be a technical error in the tactical information exchange channel.
