Всё в казну: ФАС потребовала от МТС снизить тарифы и перечислить незаконно полученные деньги в бюджет

The antimonopoly service revealed an unreasonable increase in tariffs by the operator

The Federal Antimonopoly Service announced that the telecom operator MTS was issued an order to reduce tariffs. The FAS discovered an unreasonable increase in prices by the operator: in April and May 2024, it raised prices for cellular communications by 8% for more than 30 million subscribers.

Following the conducted research, the Federal Antimonopoly Service concluded that the increase in tariffs has no economic justification and harms consumers. In this regard, the agency demanded that MTS reduce tariffs and transfer illegally obtained profits to the state treasury.

MTS is aware of the FAS requirement to reduce the cost of communication services.

We have been notified of the decision, we will determine further actions after reviewing the regulator's position.
