The State Corporation (SC) "Rosatom" shared its plans for the coming decades on the Day of the Nuclear Industry Worker. It is expected that by 2030 the staff will be expanded to 440 thousand people, with 110 thousand involved in the construction of new nuclear power plants.
The corporation also plans to build 11 new nuclear power plants, including in the Far East. Currently, replacement capacities are being built for 6 operating stations in Russia. In addition, by 2042, Rosatom will build 37 power units.
The corporation believes that the country's nuclear industry needs more than 100 professions, many of which are not available on the market. To solve this problem, Rosatom is training young personnel. For example, 120 thousand specialists under the age of 35 work at the SC's enterprises.
Young employees working at Rosenergoatom receive 50 thousand rubles in relocation allowance and 100 thousand rubles for expenses when settling in. The company reimburses them for the cost of renting housing for 3 years, and also accrues one-time payments upon marriage and the birth of a child.
