The Azerbaijani Air Force will soon receive a batch of modernized Soviet Su-25 attack aircraft. The aircraft will be able to carry precision-guided weapons.
We are talking about Teber-82 guided bombs, KGK-83 planning bombs, and QFAB-250 LG with laser guidance, as well as SOM cruise missiles.
The signing of a contract for the modernization of the Su-25 between the authorities of Azerbaijan and the Turkish company TUSAS became known in the summer of 2023.
The attack aircraft was equipped with the so-called "KGK wing guidance kit," which made it possible to use unguided Mk-82/83 bombs as guided munitions. Experts note that such modernization indicates the high combat potential of the Su-25.
