The Yandex Maps service can now build routes inside train stations, airports and popular shopping centers. This feature is available in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Ufa. The service update will allow you to better navigate large organizations and quickly find the stores, restaurants or boarding gates you need.
With the application, you can plot a route from one place inside the building to another, as well as from any point in the city. The service will show you where the nearest entrance is, help you find a passage, elevator, escalator or stairs and take you directly to the place you need. As in regular navigation, the program can offer several route options.
To find the way to the shopping center, you need to select the floor and specify the location.
To build a route to the gate or railway track, you need to find it on the map, hold it down and click "here".
The service has updated floor plans of buildings to which routes are most often laid, both by private and public transport. They now more accurately indicate the location of escalators, elevators and other elements.
Routes are now built taking into account the number of floors in buildings. In the near future, this feature will be available in other cities of Russia, and more organizations will be added.
Earlier, Yandex Maps added points for convenient route completion in large cities of Russia. The service will help people when traveling by car to end the journey at a convenient point, for example, in a parking lot or in a drop-off zone. The data is updated daily. A year ago, Yandex Maps began showing the cost of travel on toll roads.
