Robotic Center for Geological Rock Research to Open in Tyumen

The project will be implemented by the end of 2024

"Гazprom Neft" will launch the "Geosfera" robotic center in Tyumen. The facility is planned to conduct all types of geological material research.

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of this year. Currently, commissioning works of laboratory equipment are underway.

The center will be the first robotic complex in the country for the study of geological rocks, fluids, and core samples. The complex area is 12,000 sq. m. It includes 16 laboratories, a large core storage facility, and a modern educational cluster.

The center's laboratories feature 160 samples of domestic equipment. It will allow conducting various studies of geological material (general core assessment, microstructure analysis, creation of digital twins of rocks).

It is planned that robots will be responsible for the main operations — marking, transporting, and storing samples.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that two robotics centers will open in Russia in 2025 and 2026.
