Russian specialists have the opportunity to study the American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) in order to calculate the missile's flight path, learn the radio frequencies of the ammunition, and the principle of their change. Thus, engineers will gain access to US technologies, according to military expert Alexei Anpilogov.
He noted that previously it was not possible to study the components of the American missile, since it was destroyed immediately after hitting the target.
Currently, Russia has probably found a relatively intact projectile. Perhaps the contact fuse simply did not work, or the missile mistakenly hit soft ground.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian specialists have begun studying the warhead of the HIMARS MLRS missile. Experts have at their disposal electronics, microcircuits, and control systems for the nose stabilizers.
