AvtoVAZ fully approved the government's plan to increase the recycling fee on imported cars in Russia. According to the company, the phased increase in the fee is a "significant incentive" for foreign brands to invest in creating production facilities in our country. These steps will positively affect the development of the domestic auto industry and related industries, as well as the predictability and stability of the price positioning of Russian-made cars. This is the path of long-term and technologically independent development.
The plant showed by personal example how last year's increase in the recycling fee positively affected the situation in the Russian car market. Last fall, AvtoVAZ was able to produce a record number of Lada cars thanks to the indexation of the recycling fee.
The company thanked the government for making the decision. The plant is confident that a sharp increase in the recycling fee will help attract foreign manufacturers to the country.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the recycling fee for vehicles will increase from October 1. At the first stage, it will increase by an average of 70–85% for cars and trailers, then it will be indexed by 10–20% from January 1 of each subsequent year.
