A test delivery of cars from China in Open Top containers was carried out in the Kemerovo region. As part of this logistics scheme, cars were brought to Russia from China, and coal was sent in the opposite direction in containers.
Open Top containers allow cars to enter and exit through the end doors. To protect cargo from the weather, the containers are covered with a tarpaulin on top. The final destination was the Russian Railways customs warehouse at the Kemerovo-Sortirovochnaya station, where cargo can be stored without paying duties and taxes until it is sold.
This new logistics chain allows cars to be delivered directly to dealerships beyond the Urals, bypassing distribution centers in Moscow, which speeds up and optimizes the delivery process.
