4 Times Lighter Than Kornet Ammunition: Tests of the Latest 9M134 Light Missile for ATGM Nearing Completion in Russia

The Tula Instrument Design Bureau (KBP, part of Rostec's High-Precision Complexes) is completing tests of a new light missile for anti-tank missile systems (ATGMs). The holding's press service emphasized that they are proceeding successfully.

It was previously reported that a missile was being developed that is intended for engaging medium-armored targets, including those equipped with dynamic protection, and it is four times lighter than the Kornet family of missiles.

The new ammunition has a jam-resistant control system with laser beam guidance, a tandem shaped-charge warhead, and a maximum firing range of at least 3.5 km.
