"Avtodor" will launch experimental musical road markings in Russia by the end of 2024. This was announced in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper by the chairman of the board of the state company.
Noise strips have long been used by road workers, they signal to the driver if the car for some reason begins to shift to the side of the road. Our specialists have developed software that allows you to calculate the parameters for applying markings in such a way that the effect of playing a musical fragment occurs when passing. This year we plan to test such markings on one of the sections of the M-11.
According to him, Russian drivers will soon receive another innovation that will help make trips safer: this is a system for warning drivers about the appearance of a wild animal on the roadway. With the help of thermal imagers and video cameras, deer, elk, wild boars, bears and other animals approaching the road are recorded, and the neural network in the system records objects and classifies them. Then the data is transmitted to a dynamic scoreboard, which is located at the entrance to the dangerous section, and drivers see the threat in advance.
Such systems are already being tested in the Smolensk region on the M-1 highway, and they will soon appear on the A-107 as well.
