The Russian operational-tactical complex «Iskander-M» destroyed a launcher of the M270 MLRS multiple launch rocket system on the front line with a strike from a 9M723-1 quasi-ballistic missile. The footage was shown by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted that the circular probable deviation of the 9M723-1 missile did not exceed 17 meters, which was quite enough to hit the MLRS with a fragmentation field. Objective control is carried out by the S350M «Supercam» optoelectronic reconnaissance UAV.
M270 MLRS is a universal system produced in the USA, used as a launcher for tactical missiles and a multiple launch rocket system. The launcher is developed on the tracked base of the American Bradley platform.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces used the «Orion» UAV with TKB-103 missiles. Thanks to laser guidance, the ammunition confidently demolishes tank turrets in battle.
