The Russian T-90M tank is equipped with a high-quality "Relikt" dynamic protection system, which provides a high level of resistance of the combat vehicle to means of destruction. The protection of the vehicle was assessed in the Western publication Military Watch Magazine (MWM).
The T-90M tank is well armored and equipped with "Relikt" dynamic protection, as well as additional armor isolating the ammunition rack from the inside.
Journalists added that the T-90M carries the "Arena-M" active protection system, which is capable of intercepting tank-attacking projectiles, HEAT grenades, and anti-tank missiles. The complex consists of an onboard computer, a control panel, a radar station, and protective ammunition in the shafts.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation received a new batch of T-90M. The armored vehicles were equipped with complexes for reducing means of detection and electronic warfare equipment.
