Sberbank plans to launch a mobile payment service through the "Sberbank Online" application in 10 more countries. This was announced by Kirill Tsarev, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank, at the Eastern Economic Forum.
Currently, mobile payments are available in Armenia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Republic of Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkey, Thailand, Moldova, Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan.
By the end of the year, we will add 10 more countries (China, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka). Sri Lanka will be available in the near future.
The monthly turnover for payments of foreign and domestic telecom operators is 700 million rubles. It is planned to increase it to 900 million rubles by the end of the year.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Sberbank transferred card issuance and maintenance to its own processing platform.
