В Москве запустили первый в России беспилотный трамвай

The "Lion Cub-Moscow" tram model is already running on route No. 10

The test mode of the first unmanned tram in Russia has started in Moscow, running on route No. 10 (Shchukinskaya metro station – Kulakova street). Passengers can already participate in test rides.

"Lion Cub-Moscow"

The "Lion Cub-Moscow" tram, equipped with innovative systems, moves around the city in automatic mode, controlling stops and door openings. The driver is at the control panel to ensure additional safety. A screen is installed in the cabin, which broadcasts data on the operation of systems and shows how the tram perceives the environment through a machine vision system.

The project goes through several stages. The first stage has been successfully completed, and the second has begun, during which the tram carries passengers. The full transition to unmanned mode is scheduled for the end of 2025.
