Бэзэкипажные катеры «выкосили» пулеметными очередями

Crews of Russian Mi-8 multi-purpose helicopters, as well as navigators-operators of Mi-24VP attack-transport helicopters, used machine guns to engage four high-speed unmanned Magura-V5 kamikaze boats. Footage has appeared online.

Military expert Evgeny Damantsev clarified that the engagement was carried out from 7.62-mm PKM machine guns, as well as from paired GSh-23L automatic cannons, represented by NPPPU-24 turret mounts.

Objective monitoring is carried out using a thermal imaging sighting system.

Earlier, former Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Air Force Issues of the CIS Joint Air Defense System, Lieutenant General (Ret.) Aytech Bizhev, expressed the opinion on the need to rethinking Russian air defense. According to him, the system needs to switch to automated control.
