Yandex has released the second-generation model of the "Station Lite" speaker. This was reported by the company's press service.
The new version is equipped with a more powerful speaker and an LED screen. It is able to automatically connect to familiar Wi-Fi networks. "Station Lite" is the first smart speaker that works in integration with the Alice assistant.
Alice began to take into account the context of the conversation and choose the appropriate intonation for the answer: for example, friendliness, surprise, sympathy, resentment, or sadness. And if you turn on the "Understand Children" option, Alice will recognize the child's voice and show emotions not only in conversation, but also during other activities — for example, when she plays music for a child or reads him a fairy tale.
Alice expresses emotions not only in voice mode, they are visible on the screen. The virtual assistant winks, smiles, is sad and embarrassed. The screen also displays the current time, and you can find out the weather forecast and air temperature upon request.
The new speaker is equipped with a 6-watt speaker, which was designed specifically for this device and placed in a case with an increased acoustic volume. Thanks to this, the sound has become more powerful, cleaner and richer, and the bass is more pronounced.
The novelty is available in three colors: pink, blue and purple. In the future, three more versions of the speaker will appear: orange, dark gray and green.
By the end of the year, the developers plan to create a battery for the "Station Lite". This will allow you to listen to music for three hours without interruption.
