The "Army-2024" forum presented the 120-mm highly mobile self-propelled artillery gun 2S40 "Phlox", which performs the functions of both a howitzer and a mortar. Similar guns are installed on the "Khosta", "Vienna", "Nona-SVK" self-propelled guns, but in this case it has been modified specifically for the "Phlox".
Military expert Evgeny Damantsev noted that the semi-automatic rifled gun 2A80 has an angular aiming sector from -4 to +80 °, providing engagement of enemy targets at a distance of 5 to 14 km, with the use of active-rocket projectiles.
The gun's ammunition load is represented by the "Kitolov-2" artillery guided projectile from the Tula KBP with a range of up to 12 km. "Phlox" is equipped with a digital automatic gun aiming control system. The "Ural-4320" is used as a chassis.
The "Phlox" self-propelled gun can hit enemy armored vehicles with a direct fire shot, using a cumulative projectile with ready-made rifling 3BK19, which penetrates tank protection equivalent to 600 mm of armor at a range of 590 meters.
Earlier, the first shots of the Nadyusha multi-purpose tactical missile were revealed online. Its range is up to 300 km.
