The modernized Ka-52M Alligator combat helicopter was presented at the Army-2024 military-technical forum. Its weapon control system integrates not only GOES-451M optoelectronic modules with more modern matrix IR photodetectors, but also new missiles.
Military expert Evgeny Damantsev clarified that the Alligator received subsonic short-range tactical missiles Kh-39 LMUR, supersonic tactical missiles Kh-38ML/MT/MA, tactical cruise missiles Kh-35U, as well as 9M120-1 Ataka-V anti-tank missiles, which were previously spotted in the ammunition of the Mi-28NM helicopter.
Russian pilot with the call sign "Samara" noted that the developers "significantly upgraded" the Ka-52. The combat vehicle received an improved onboard defense system, which, together with the optoelectronic suppression system, as well as a decoy ejection device, minimizes the likelihood of enemy homing missiles hitting it.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the modernized 2S25M self-propelled anti-tank gun received improved armor protection to increase resistance to small-caliber cannon shell impacts. It is being prepared for acceptance into the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
