Since its official launch in September 2023, the VK Video application has been installed on mobile devices and Android TV 20 million times, according to the VK press service.
The highest activity in downloads was recorded in July, when the application was installed almost 2 million times.
Of the total number of installations, more than 11 million are on Android devices, about 6 million on Android TV, and 3 million on iOS.
In the first week of August, there was a sharp increase in the audience: the number of VK Video users increased 2.2 times compared to the average monthly figures for July, reaching 2.5 million users per day.
The total daily viewing time in the application increased 2.6 times, exceeding 5 million hours.
The growing popularity of VK Video is happening against the backdrop of problems with the YouTube video hosting service, which is owned by Google.
