The Kalashnikov concern's developments, capable of supporting the Marine Corps and other coastal units of the Navy, are being discussed online. They are produced by the shipbuilders of the Rybinsk Shipyard.
BK-16E combat boats are designed for operations in marine coastal zones, straits, river estuaries and lakes, landing troops on an unprepared coast and providing fire support, combating piracy and terrorism, and destroying marine drones. BK-16E is also used for the usual transportation of personnel by water.
The boat is equipped with 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm machine guns, an automatic anti-personnel grenade launcher complex, and a remote control combat module. The boat's crew consists of 2 people, and special personnel - 19 people.
The BK-16E can reach a maximum speed of up to 45 knots, has a cruising range of 400 miles, and can be in autonomous mode for 24 hours. Depending on the customer's requirements, the configuration of the BK-16E can be changed: it turns into a command boat, a medical boat with resuscitation modules for evacuating victims, a diving boat, an anti-sabotage boat, a fire boat, or a mine clearance boat.
The BK-10M high-speed assault boat with armored windshield and a hull made of corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy is no less functional. Its crew in normal condition is only two people, but during a special operation it will take up to 12 people on board.
The BK-10M with a displacement of 8 tons can reach a speed of up to 40 knots, its maximum cruising range is 220 miles.
The boat has three universal mounts for 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm machine guns, but in theory it can also be equipped with other weapons, as it has removable seats. These seats are special: thanks to shock absorption, they dampen overloads up to 6g.
It is known that the Marine Corps and other coastal units of the Navy use not only vehicles from Kalashnikov. Their personnel are armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles and SVDs, and there are AKs in the crews of surface ships and submarines.
