A new anti-drone radar station "Lori" has been developed in Russia. It is designed to cover important industrial facilities.

The system is capable of automatically tracking targets moving at speeds up to 200 km/h at a range of up to 10 km. It was developed by the domestic company "Eliars".

Currently, the demand for radar in the security systems market is growing, and after analyzing the features of existing products and working out their shortcomings, we started developing "Lori" in January of this year.

A veteran of the radio-electronic warfare forces of the Russian Armed Forces, Klim Dmitriev, added that radar detection and radio reconnaissance equipment does not provide protection to facilities from enemy strikes, but it will help to detect a threat in advance. Therefore, they should be used together with fire destruction systems.

The first tests of prototypes are scheduled for February 2025. The launch of production of a pilot batch is expected in September 2025.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a new bulletproof vest was developed for Russian sappers. The first deliveries of the product to the troops will start in September 2024.
