"Avtozavod St. Petersburg" (formerly the Nissan plant) intends to produce 22,000 XCITE X-Cross 7 and XCITE X-Cross 8 vehicles, which are clones of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, this year. This is according to insiders.
Some of the vehicle assembly kits have already been paid for and are en route, while others are awaiting payment.
It is claimed that this is a preliminary plan that may shift, either towards reducing production or increasing it. Everything will depend on the demand for crossovers, which are not particularly popular even among corporate clients.
In 2025, the automaker wants to produce 36,000 vehicles. The plan may also be changed, the insider emphasizes.
