The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a new list of Russian programs that must be pre-installed in 2025 on smartphones, tablets, monoblocks, PCs, and Smart TVs.
The list includes 19 programs for smartphones and tablets. Among them: a search engine, applications for accessing social networks, navigators, the RuStore application store, a messenger, a voice assistant, a mail service, the Mir payment service, "Gosuslugi," and others.
In turn, a browser, office software, and antivirus are provided for computers and monoblocks.
For Smart TVs, a list of 18 programs has been approved, including applications for accessing the Internet and social networks, as well as video services.
The Government of the Russian Federation notes that the most popular applications with an audience of at least 500 thousand users per year are selected for pre-installation (except for certain types of programs). Users will still be able to choose what to use. The list of applications will be presented later.
