NtechLab (a technology partner of Rostec Group) has announced the launch of a new IT solution based on artificial intelligence (AI). It will help plan public transport route schedules using video analytics of city stop occupancy. This was reported in the company's press service.
The system will work in integration with outdoor surveillance cameras. They will record the occupancy of stops every five minutes. At the user's request, the information will be transmitted to a chatbot.
This data will allow city authorities to quickly adjust public transport schedules and routes to avoid crushes and excessive accumulation of waiting passengers. The solution will help combat "gray" minibuses that continue to enter the roads and endanger passengers.
The test operation of the domestic IT product for planning public transport will be launched in Sochi.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that in Russia they will start using AI to maintain cleanliness in cities.
