Rostec delivered Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to Kamchatka and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug

They are effective for long-range flights with poor visibility

The "Russian Helicopters" holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has delivered a batch of Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Kamchatka, the state corporation's press service reported.

Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters are relevant for use in areas with long routes and harsh conditions (Far North or highlands), the flight range without refueling is up to 1050 km. They can be equipped with two additional fuel tanks with a total volume of 1880 liters.

Today we delivered a new Mi-8MTV-1 to the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. This is the third machine of this type that the local air carrier has received since 2023. Another helicopter went to Kamchatka. In the region, it will perform a wide range of tasks in mountainous terrain, including helping to develop regional tourism
Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation

The helicopter is designed for 23 passengers, the model provides a place for an external suspension for transporting goods up to 4 tons. The Mi-8MTV-1 is capable of taking off from unprepared sites and operating in temperature conditions from -50 to +50.

If necessary, the helicopter can be equipped with medical transport modules. This model is widely used for flights with low visibility due to being equipped with modernized lighting equipment. They are suitable for passenger and cargo transportation, search operations, fire extinguishing, shift flights and other purposes.

Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters are created at the Kazan Helicopter Plant. Models are constantly being improved.

Earlier www1.ru reported that modified Mi-8 helicopters were transferred to the Yeltsovka Aviation Enterprise.
