Russia's latest Vogan-9SP interceptor drone will become a useful addition to the defense system against unmanned aerial vehicles. This is stated in a material by the American publication The War Zone (TWZ).
Journalists noted that the Vogan works in conjunction with a laser system that illuminates the target, and when approaching the enemy's drone, the drone already uses automatic systems.
The use of laser targeting for guidance is an "interesting hybrid concept." This has not been used in this area before.
The authors of the publication added that after being put into production, the Vogan-9SP will become a very useful addition to the Russian defense system against enemy drones.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Armed Forces turned the RBU-6000 naval rocket launcher into a ground weapon. The ground installation uses recycled 212-mm RGB-60 rocket bombs for firing.
