The Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, together with the Research Center of FSUE "NAMI", have created a project to reduce the speed of car-sharing vehicles.
Special sensors will be installed on all vehicles. They will automatically reduce the speed of the car if it is exceeded.
In case of speeding, a special limiter will smoothly slow down the car to the speed allowed on this section. The electric scooter service already works on the same principle.
The first tests of the device will be carried out in an experimental legal regime (EPR) in several stages with the assistance of the Delimobil operator. After the project is agreed with the relevant authorities, testing will continue at the training ground and on the streets of the capital. The project will be evaluated in a year.
It is worth noting that since April of this year, the "Antitandem" program has been launched in the capital. The system determines the number of people on the individual mobility device and automatically reduces the speed of the electric scooter.
