Sales of the new Vesta Sportline started in November last year. During this time, fans of the model have expressed a lot of criticism about the car's lack of power. The fact is that with a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 118 horsepower and a five-speed manual transmission, the car accelerates to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds. AvtoVAZ has finally responded to the criticism.
The solutions used in the car have been tested and balanced, representatives of the plant emphasize. If you force the engine, then you must strengthen the brakes. The car with the aerodynamic body kit is being tested in a wind tunnel, AvtoVAZ noted.
Sports suspension settings, engine boosting, fairings and spoilers – all this affects the behavior of the car on the road. The sports Vesta is tuned for quick starts and fast cornering. The press service of the auto giant emphasizes that a "garage master" can also modify the car, but it is unlikely that they can conduct the necessary tests and make adjustments.
Do they have access to a wind tunnel? Where there is a fan with a diameter of 7.4 meters, capable of simulating speeds up to 300 km/h.
Note that prices for the car start from 2 million 175 thousand rubles. This is the most expensive LADA in the entire AvtoVAZ lineup. A number of experts call the cost of the car overpriced.
