A clever scheme was exposed by employees of T-Bank

Online fraudsters have once again come up with a clever scam, disguising themselves as employees of "Russian Post". The new scam was revealed at T-Bank.

The essence of the scheme is simple: a fraudster, on behalf of the alleged company "Russian Post", notified the selected victim of the need to pay for a non-existent foreign parcel. If the fraudster refused to make the payment, he asked to name the code from the sms in order to issue a fictitious official refusal in the databases of the postal service.

In fact, this is a code for accessing the bank's mobile application. Then fraudsters can try to withdraw funds, take out a loan and perform other actions.

Another working scheme of fraudsters is obtaining data to log into an account on "Gosuslugi". Fraudsters buy unused, previously used numbers in the hope that an account of a state online service is still linked to the number. There they collect all personal information about the victim in order to obtain funds from bank accounts or apply for a loan.

Despite the methods of combating online fraudsters, new scams appear more and more often, and the mechanisms for combating fraudsters are not always effective and timely. When using social networks, messengers and other platforms, you should not provide your personal data and passwords for logging into state and banking services.

Earlier www1.ru reported that fraudsters began to deceive pensioners under the pretext of recalculating payments.
