The lightweight "Vorobey" reconnaissance drone, operating on non-standard frequencies, was presented at the HeliRussia 2024 exhibition in Moscow. The manufacturer of the new product is the "Stratim" design bureau.
"Vorobey" is a drone that everyone has been waiting for. It is already being mass-produced. It is a conditional analogue of a Mavic-type reconnaissance drone, which everyone buys in huge quantities. The drone is designed for fire adjustment, reconnaissance and targeting.

The company added that the "Vorobey" was the most difficult drone for it in terms of design. It used advanced solutions to make the device compact and small. In particular, the drone has folding antennas and rotor blades, so it can be folded into a small square for transportation.
However, one of the main advantages of "Vorobey" is its resistance to electronic warfare (EW) systems.
It operates on non-standard frequencies and, unlike Mavic drones, is not jammed by electronic warfare systems. It does not give away the operator's location, does not have No Fly Zones, cannot be remotely disabled by the manufacturer, and does not require reflashing.
The drone can be controlled both from the remote control and using a smartphone. Flight speed — up to 80 km/h, range — up to 10 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian military had begun testing the Rusak kamikaze drone and the Tiuvik strike wing. They are equipped with a self-guidance system on the final section of the flight path.
