Marine assault troops of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) as part of exercises at the Bamburovo training ground in the Primorsky Territory tested the special forces armored shield in order to possibly use it in the daily training of assault units.
During practical exercises with the armored shield, the military personnel worked out the algorithm of work in a "troika" with the implementation of a tactical replacement of numbers to replenish ammunition.
Combat work with the armored shield allowed military personnel to safely approach the firing zone, while freely firing at the enemy's manpower, including changing the level of fire.
Representatives of the Pacific Fleet explained that the exercises used a conventional armored shield of an already existing model, and the innovation was precisely its use during the assault on trenches, which the marines had not done before.
The military will continue to test the armored shield in various training and combat conditions. Then, experts will assess the effectiveness of its use and decide on the possibility of introducing this protective equipment into the combat training of the Pacific Fleet marine assault units.
