Tender Appears on Government Procurement Portal

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is ready to pay more than 897 million rubles for the development of a system that will intercept drone control and force a landing. The department has posted a tender on the government procurement portal.

Fixed-wing UAV

The tender is designated as experimental design work "Development of a system for predictive interception and interruption of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flights", code OCR "Anti-Drone". The Ministry of Industry and Trade expects that the contractor will create a technology that, by analyzing the air situation, will calculate the violating drone and interrupt its flight. We are talking about drones weighing up to 50 kg, which fly at speeds up to 200 km/h.

The developers are also expected to produce a prototype control system for UAV interception, a circular-scan radar, and a radar for tracking small-sized drones. Applications from companies are accepted until June 13.
