The Ministry of Trade and Industry of Russia is ready to pay more than 897 million rubles for the development of a system that will intercept drone control and force a landing. The department has placed a tender on the public procurement portal.
The tender is designated as experimental design work "Development of a system for predictive interception and interruption of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flights", code OCR "Antidron". The Ministry of Industry and Trade expects that the contractor will create a technology that, by analyzing the air situation, will calculate the drone intruder and interrupt its flight. We are talking about drones weighing up to 50 kg, which fly at speeds up to 200 km/h.
The developers are also expected to produce a prototype control system for UAV interception equipment, a circular view radar, and a radar for tracking small-sized drones. Applications from companies are accepted until June 13.
