TsKBR: Civilian technologies can be used to create "smart" minefields

Smart home technologies will soon cease to be civilian and will be used in combat. This opinion was expressed by Dmitry Kuzyakin, director of the Russian Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (TsKBR, developer of FPV drones).

According to him, FPV drones are not the only civilian technology that is successfully used in combat conditions.

It's time to remember other civilian developments that are waiting in the wings. These include smart home technologies.

He emphasized that the "smart home" has acquired sensors, actuators, local data centers, and new data transmission standards. According to Kuzyakin, these developments would be useful for creating "smart" minefields. Specialists could program the conditions for triggering mines, the time interval, and also generate a report on the use.
