A medical decision support system based on artificial intelligence (AI) has helped doctors in Moscow make 14 million preliminary diagnoses, according to Moscow Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova.
The digital transformation of Moscow's healthcare system makes it possible to significantly improve the efficiency of the diagnostic and treatment process.
According to her, the medical decision support system works with a large amount of information and automates routine tasks. This helps provide residents of the Russian capital with personalized medical care.
The AI-powered system has been implemented in all Moscow polyclinics. It was developed by specialists from SberMedII and Sber's AI Laboratory.
For example, one of the system's services is the "Top-3" digital assistant. This is a patient complaint analyzer that suggests the 3 most likely diagnoses. It identifies 95% of the most common diseases. The doctor can agree with the assistant or make their own diagnosis, as the final decision always remains with the specialist.
